Q 1. "Which parts of Scotland do you cover, and do you travel beyond Fife?"

A1. "I cover Fife and the surrounding areas, including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Perth, and beyond. If your venue's further afield, I'm happy to travel."

Q 2. "What kind of events do you DJ for?"

A 2. “I specialise in Weddings, Corporate Events and Black-Tie Functions.”

 

Q 3. "Do you do Birthdays and other private parties?"

A 3. “Yes, absolutely. My style is tailored more towards an adult crowd, typically 30+, with music and entertainment designed to get everyone up and enjoying themselves.” 

 

Q 4. "With forty years experience, are you not a little bit old?"

A 4. "Yes, I've got 40 years in the game, and I've evolved from vinyl to digital. And at the end of the day, a DJ is only as old as the music they play. 

 

Q 5. "Why doesn't your website show prices?

A 5. “Every event's different. I use a base price, then factor in travel, timings, setup, and prep, so you get a fair price that fits what you need."

 

Q 6. "Your fee is higher than most that I received?"

A 6. “I understand I might not always be the cheapest option. My pricing reflects 40 years of experience, professional equipment and the level of service I provide. I'm about value, not just price. I also don't take back-to-back bookings every weekend, so I can give your event my full attention."

 

Q 7. "I have a friend who sings and plays guitar, is that okay for them to be included?

A 7. "Yes, absolutely. If you have a friend performing, we can work them into the flow of the night. And I can also handle small duets or even keyboard players through my setup. I can also run my lighting for bigger bands who use their own sound system, keeping stage area more tidy"

 

Q 8. "Do you do Christmas Parties?

A 8. "Absolutely I do. But, my Christmas parties are a little different. It's not just background music while you eat, the whole evening is part of the entertainment, with various interactive games between courses. It's a great format for multi-room venues too. Helping the kitchen keep service running smoothly while everyone enjoys a fantastic party atmosphere."

 

Q 9. "How about, do you bring your own equipment, especially lights?

A 9. "Yes, I bring my own professional setup, including backup gear if ever needed. This includes lighting that fully programmed to match the mood throughout the night."

 

Q 10. "In the unlikely event you're unable to attend, what arrangements do you have in place?"

A 10. "In all the years I've been a DJ I have never missed a booking. But in the unlikely event I couldn't make it, I have a trusted network of professional DJs I can call on. So you're still in safe hands.
