A Little More Detail About
What I Can Do For Your Event

The Music

​​

First off, I bring an absolutely huge digital music collection,

collected over many decades

. I'm not a DJ that relies on a Wi-Fi connection for my music.

Believe Me, they do exist, so a good idea to ask before you book!

I also love listening to music, and make a point of spending a few days every month,

just browsing through my music collection.

Sometimes, when you have so much choice you can easily forget some songs exist.

So doing this, it keeps my memory refreshed & focused. 

 

​I also use a completely digitised & fully indexed music collection

As my music collection changed to a digital format,

I made the decision to index every single song.

That's now in the tens of thousands.

This unique feature now means

can simply select a individual decade, or even a specific year,

or even chart postions.

Combining my music collection with my many year's of expertise,

it allows me to create some specialist party playlists.​

So if your planning a themed party, I may have the ideal matched music.

My DJ Style

​​

Every DJ has their own unique way of performing. 

It's feel it's very important to find a DJ whos in-tune with your guests.

For example, If you was looking for a live singer.

You wouldn't choose a Taylor Swift tribute for a 60th birthday, 

equally a Tom Jones for a 18th.

That same rule is the same for DJ's. 

I personally class myself as a traditional DJ.

Playing great music that I see people enjoying.

For me that's mainly the 70's to the 00's. But I also know my 50's & 60's too.

Ps.... I do love the 80's, & those amazing 90's dance tunes... 

I'm not one of these new style DJ's who never speak, while their head is buried in a laptop screen.

I'm very happy using a microphone, but It's all about balance & being professional.

We all remember the pub DJ's who'll rib anyone that moves.

You'll be please to know, that's not my style either.

From the start until the end, I constantly watch how people are reacting.

Then by alter the music accordingly, adding some subtle banter.

My aim is to create a wonderful atmosphere. 

I can offer up & host a Quiz, Compare an awards event, include some tasteful games.

The Functions

Weddings

From all Day Hosting, to just the evening reception. I can offer so much advice from my many years of experience. 

offering help with 1st Dance nerves, to ideal timings. 

 

Formal and Corporate Events

I have a vast experience with many formal dinners.

From Masonic Ladies Evenings, to Sports Presentations.

Including additional microphones for speeches, etc.

 

Birthday Parties

. I'll be honest, I love a good Birthday Party.

I know how to make sure they run perfectly.

It's important to let eveyone initally mingle, that know when to ramp up the party atmoshere. 

 

Christmas Parties

Your been to those Xmas Parties where you have the meal, then you have a dance....

That's NOT how I do Xmas Parties. 

The Party starts as soon as you enter the room. I add games and interaction between the courses,

so tables compete against each other in a bonkers and fun way.

Then we dance, with the party already in full flow..

The Equipment

​​

I think that the equipment I use, says a lot about the service I give.

My equipment is tour grade, from brands like Denon, Yamaha, Martin, Showtec.

My standard sound system offers an amazing 2.2kw of sound.

For larger venues, I can add additional bass. 

For lighting, I have moving effects fixtures. Also, modern LED wash fixtures that fill a room with colour.

The lights aren't left to randomly do their thing either. They are all fully programed to compliment the music.

I use some great software system that could run a west end show.

Of course things can mishap, so I've done everything to make my kit as reliable as possible.

Each speaker has its own in built amplification, giving that extra reliability.

Every light fixture can run independently if needed.

I carry always carry a spare mixing desk, laptop, microphone, cables, etc. 

 

 

Administration

​​

I always have full Public Liability Insurance, & my equipment is PAT tested.

(certificates available on request)

Every booking adheres to the UK Data Protection Act.

Each booking is held as a secure paper copy, digital copy, & a cloud copy.

This eliminates the possibility of me ever double booking.

My vehicle is always fully serviced, & has full roadside assistance.

Planning any event can be a daunting prospect, especially if you’ve never planned one before.

Yes, there is a best time to start, to end, to serve the food, to cut the cake, have the 1st dance, etc.

I can offer my decades of expertise, to help you along the way.
